Coloring, Presence, and “Being Enough”

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had people tell me that they’ve “fallen off the boat” with their coloring. It’s happened enough times that I’ve wondered if I should forgo the coloring calendar idea all together and just make a colored moon calendar.

I don’t want this calendar to feel like another thing that you have to “get to”, something that you “don’t have time for”, or for it to instill in you a subconscious story that you’re somehow not enough.

The coloring meditation is a gift for you to take or leave, there is no right or wrong way –

Know that you are always enough.

It’s easy when there’s an unlimited amount of things to ‘get done’ for me to live as if I’m just checking things off a list. Supplements: check, Bank: check, Work: check, Walk in the woods: check, etc. When I operate from a place of check-list, I’m not fully present in my life. If I’m walking in the woods because I ‘need to walk the dog’, even though I’m in the woods I’m not actually present in the forest…

Am I listening to the trees?
Am I noticing the rocks around me?

…Or am I matter-of-factly walking my dog in the woods to move onto the next thing on my to-do list?

The coloring meditation of this calendar is an opportunity to be present.

More than ‘something to get done’, or something to mindlessly color in, it is an invitation to connect deeply with yourself.

Light a candle. Slowly savor a cup of tea. Listen. Ask yourself what your Soul is needing this cycle, and as you color, dream your life into being.

Lunar Blessings,

P.S. Did you know that the 2017 Lunar Mandala Calendar is now in print and available for purchase? You can find it online or at one of many stores across the country.
